New Report from the Royal Society

The fourth and final Royal Society 'state of the nation' report considers the 'pool' of the UK's 16-19 year old students taking mainstream science and mathematics combinations suitable for entry to higher education. One of the recommendations of the report is 'to reform A-Levels they have more of a Baccalaureate flavour to them and allow students to continue longer with science and mathematics post-16'.  This resonates with ACME's work on Post-16 Pathways which was published in Summer 2010.
