Correspondence between ACME and Elizabeth Truss regarding Core Maths

In June, Professor Andrew Noyes, Deputy Chair of ACME, wrote to Elizabeth Truss MP following the final consultation on technical guidance for Core Maths qualifications. In the letter Professor Noyes ACME highlighted the importance of there being a clear implementation plan for Core Maths qualification and emphasised the necessity for communication with schools and colleges, Higher Education Institutions and employers about the importance of Core Maths. Professor Noyes also welcomed the opportunity to discuss these issues further in person.

Elizabeth Truss replied to the letter, stating that she was grateful for the support ACME has provided in the development of Core Maths invited ACME to meet with Department Officials to discuss the issues in more depth.
