Assessing problem solving: call for examples
20 March 2015
As part of our wider work on teaching, learning and assessing
'mathematical thinking' ACME is exploring the assessment of
problem solving and reasoning across all
phases.
We are therefore looking for interesting questions that you
believe assess problem solving and reasoning, to feed into ACME's
analysis.
These can be from across all phases, can be historical or
current, international or from England and the wider United
Kingdom.
You may also want to point us in the direction of interesting
projects that are looking at this issue or resources that have been
developed.
Please send your examples and other information to acme@royalsociety.org by
the end of April 2015. In addition, please do not
hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.
The call will be put out widely and this topic will be further
discussed in the coming months and at ACME's Mathematically Thinking conference
on 9 July 2015.
